The role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Occupational Therapist Team Leader to join our highly skilled and fluid team in a fast-paced acute clinical setting.
As a Team Leader, you will oversee a broad range of clinical specialties, providing crucial line management and supervision, and playing an important role in our facility's key pillars of surgical, medical & rehabilitation services for adult inpatients.
Managing day-to-day staffing and referral allocation, ensuring efficient caseload management.
Fostering teamwork, supporting clinical decision-making, and maintaining effective communication across all levels of staff.
Providing line management and supervision, and mentoring team members for professional growth.
Ensuring flexibility and social acumen in navigating challenges of a diverse workforce.
Engaging in quality improvement initiatives, research, and potential participation in health excellence awards and scholarships.
Working hours are typically 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

Belmont Hospital is located within the Hunter New England Local Health District and is nestled between multiple beautiful beaches and the magnificent Hunter Valley vineyards, just an hour's drive away.
The hospital has direct access to public transport and is close to numerous public schools and several major shopping centres.
Requirements:
Occupational Therapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
