Job Title:
Project Development Specialist
The Project Development Specialist plays a pivotal role in delivering public health projects, programs, and initiatives to improve the health and wellbeing of people across the region.
Main Responsibilities:
* Plan, implement, and evaluate public health projects aligned with strategic goals
* Lead multiple projects and maintain project management frameworks and tools
* Monitor progress, manage risks, and prepare reports and documentation
* Foster collaborative relationships with internal teams, health services, government agencies, and community groups
* Lead stakeholder engagement and support regional partnerships
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and contribute to quality improvement and governance activities
* Provide leadership and guidance to project staff and support capability development within the team
* Participate in community initiatives and events
Skill & Experience Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in public health, project management or a related field
* Minimum 3 years' experience in project/program management within health or community services
* Proven success in managing complex projects and engaging diverse stakeholders
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and adaptive thinking skills
* Experience working with leadership teams to implement strategic goals
* Excellent documentation, evaluation and reporting skills
* Sound knowledge of quality improvement, safety, equity and risk management principles
