Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Drainage Maintenance Officer to maintain and improve drainage systems throughout the area, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with local regulations.
Main Responsibilities
* Conduct regular inspections of drainage systems, arrange for cleaning and maintenance as required, and take prompt action to resolve any issues that arise.
* Provide feedback to residents and service authorities regarding drainage maintenance requests, ensuring clear communication and resolution.
* Determine priority and coordinate the necessary works to resolve drainage issues, including collating details and measurements on site and issuing instructions/documentation to contractors.
* Supervise contractors to ensure damaged pit lids are safely repaired in accordance with our Road Management Plan timelines.
* Verify that contractors comply with our standards, policies, and legislative requirements.
* Compile detailed reports on maintenance activities, system conditions, and recommended improvements to enhance our services.
* Collaborate with other departments to coordinate drainage projects and repairs, ensuring seamless delivery.
* Ensure adherence to safety regulations and environmental standards, promoting a safe working environment.
* Pursue ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry best practices and contribute to our continuous improvement.
* Support the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs for drainage systems to minimize disruptions and optimize efficiency.
