About the role
As Continuous Improvement Lead, you'll be responsible for driving operational excellence across Balter's production environment, ensuring strong compliance, performance, and continuous improvement across Brewing, Packaging, Quality, and Utilities.
This role is a part of the Quality team but is hands‐on and operationally focused, working closely with Production, QA, and Engineering teams to identify opportunities, solve problems, and embed sustainable improvements. You'll sit at the centre of performance, compliance, and systems, using data (Ignition), structured problem solving, and strong governance to lift site standards.
You'll play a key role in ensuring internal standard compliance (AGPRM), driving KPI performance, and embedding a culture of "Safety First & QC Always" across the site.
As part of the Quality team you will be expected to be competent in the physchem lab and cover some work (approx 20%) throughout the week.
Some stuff you'll be doing
Continuous Improvement & Operational Performance (Primary Focus)
Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives across Brewing and Packaging by facilitating investigations.
Facilitate structured problem solving (RCA, 5 Whys) with Production teams.
Build capability within teams to identify, own, and sustain improvements whilst ensuring corrective and preventative actions are implemented and sustained.
Manage non‐conforming stock and raw material processes end‐to‐end.
Compliance & Audit (Critical Focus)
Own all aspects of AGPRM (internal Asahi standards) compliance and audit readiness across site.
Lead audit preparation, execution, and close‐out of actions.
Ensure standards are embedded into daily operations and continuously improved.
Responsible for all aspects of Quality reporting on new Ignition system.
Support development of dashboards and reporting to improve visibility and performance.
Ensure data is accurate, reliable, and used to drive decision‐making.
Management of Quality reported KPI data, dashboards and accuracy.
Quality systems
Own and manage the site Master Action Log – Track, prioritise, and drive closure of actions across departments.
Lead and support structured change management across site improvements and projects.
Ensure changes are well communicated, adopted, and sustained.
Run monthly Brewing and Packaging meetings.
Provide updates on performance, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Drive cross‐functional alignment and a strong One Team culture.

You need to have
Experience in Continuous Improvement, Operations, or Engineering (FMCG/Brewing preferred).
Operational brewing experience and lab work desirable.
Strong understanding of HACCP and GMP.
Experience with SCADA/MES systems (Ignition highly regarded).
Strong problem‐solving capability (RCA, 5 Whys, Lean tools).
Ability to influence and engage cross‐functional teams.
Strong data analysis and reporting capability.
Qualifications
Relevant qualification in Engineering, Brewing, Science, or Operations (preferred).
Quality Assurance experience.
