This hands-on role is responsible for developing the Computerised Maintenance System “CMMS” (FIIX software) and managing job cards, accurately inputting asset and maintenance data into the CMMS, coordinating and planning preventative and corrective maintenance schedules, and ensuring seamless execution of changeovers. The role works closely with the Maintenance Manager, Reliability and Maintenance lead, Maintenance Technicians, Tradespeople, and Project Teams to support high-performance manufacturing through well-planned maintenance activities, implementation of the Asset management, CMMS and integration of new automated systems.**Result areas****Accountabilities****CMMS Development & Coordination*** Create and manage job cards with detailed task instructions, frequencies, and safety protocols.* Implement FIIX CMMS system for all assets and maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of assets, components, tools, and spare parts into the CMMS.* Track maintenance history and use FIIX data insights to support continuous improvement.**Maintenance Technician*** As required, be available to support maintenance technician activities.Maintenance Coordination* Plan, prioritise, and coordinate day-to-day maintenance activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation.* Work with the Maintenance Manager to align tasks with broader operational and project goals.* Support breakdown response and corrective maintenance with appropriate escalation and resourcing.**Maintenance & Engineering Planning*** Administering all aspects of planned maintenance in CMMS including developing detailed assets identification of assets and tagging, logging data etc BOM’s, PMs, equipment histories etc* Liaising with the Reliability team as well as contractors, Manufacturing Manager and Production Schedulers* Stores ordering of spares and components for Maintenance activities and tracking deliveries via SAP* Sponsoring compliance with statutory and company policy guidelines with particular focus on work method safety and routine servicing of essential services* Plans major equipment overhaul activities across the calendar year establishing resources, budgets and production availability* Coaching Maintenance staff in best practice maintenance methodologies* Reviewing suitability of component specification* Developing and administering Maintenance KPI’s* Managing some minor equipment replacement projects* Supporting other process improvement teams with maintenance expertise as required* Planning, Implementation and effectiveness review of maintenance activities.* Plans to ensure that all materials for the above are available (timely)* Problem solving/FMEA and data analysis* Ensure the correct quantity of goods are received, stored and available for use, that all goods are receipted, and that stores and office areas are kept tidy.* Partner with vendors and procurement to ensure cost-effective and timely supply of quality parts.* Develop and manage Store lay-out to ensure efficient use of space and ease of parts retrieval aligned with OES 5s practices.* Complete stocktaking and maintain accurate stock records.* Create equipment trees and Bills of Materials (BOMs) with risk-based allocation of spare parts.* Partner with trades team members to develop strategies to identify critical spares based on risk (proactive stock management).* Assist in preparations for major machine overhaul works.* Identify and implement approaches to improve to stock management eg use of predictive maintenance to determine part replacement.* Train Maintenance team in Lean Principles to drive productivity initiatives* Conduct day to day cost analysis for Repairs and Maintenance budget, prepare weekly reports, monthly and annual reports and budgets.* Deliver projects on time and on budget.Changeover Management* Coordinate and support changeovers between product runs, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal line performance.* Liaise with production teams to ensure readiness and alignment on changeover plans.Workforce & Roster Coordination* Organise and manage maintenance rosters and shift coverages.* Provide direction and task prioritisation to technicians, fostering a team-oriented team setting.Project Support & Implementation* Collaborate with engineering and project teams on the planning and delivery of new automated equipment and upgrades.* Ensure asset data, commissioning schedules, and maintenance readiness are documented and implemented for new installs.Health, Safety, and Compliance* Actively participate in the site’s Kinrise Never Walk By practice, ensuring compliance with HSEQ standards and rules, ensuring injuries, incidents, hazards and illnesses are reported immediately to create a safe, healthy and sustainable workplace.* Ensure maintenance work is performed in line with safety standards and company policies.* Support HAZOP, JSA, and Lock Out Tag Out processes where required.* Ensure maintenance team compliance with audits, inspections, and training.**Requirements****Skills and attributes*** Hands on technical ability within a food processing environment and high-speed packaging machinery and equipment.* Committed to safety, quality, and operational excellence.* Knowledge of FMCG/Food industry regulations and best practices.Measures* Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE), to be in line with company required standard.* Excellent keyboard skills to implement and maintain our CMMS system, this would involve asset identification to life cycle change outs, PM creation and tasks* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.* Expert in managing change and excellent urgent situations**Experience*** Experience working and implementing CMMS platforms (e.g. FIIX, MEX, SAP PM, Pronto, or similar).* Strong coordination and planning skills in a manufacturing or industrial setting.* Ability to lead by example and support a small team of maintenance personnel.* Familiarity with automation, sensors, and PLC-driven equipment.* Experience delivering or supporting capital projects and commissioning.* Lean manufacturing or TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) exposure.**Qualifications:*** Trade qualification or relevant engineering/maintenance background desirable
