Are you passionate about sport, community engagement, and creating opportunities for young people through sport? WA Cricket is looking for a motivated and energetic candidate to support the growth of cricket across the Peel region.

Based in the Peel Region, working from the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport's Mandurah office, this is a 12-month fixed term role. You'll help deliver impactful school programs, strengthen relationships with schools and local clubs, and support clear pathways for young players into community cricket within the Peel region. From coordinating initiatives like Cricket Blast and school competitions to supporting coach development and club sustainability, no two days will be the same.

You'll play a key role in driving participation, delivering engaging experiences for students, and building strong connections across schools, clubs, and the broader cricket community.

You'll have an opportunity to

* Help shape and deliver engaging school cricket programs that inspire the next generation
* Play a key role in connecting schools to local clubs and growing grassroots participation
* Build strong relationships with schools, ambassadors, and community stakeholders
* Bring cricket to life through events, competitions, and holiday programs
* Support young players' journey from school programs into community and club cricket
* Empower volunteers and coaches with the skills to deliver fun, high-quality experiences
* Work closely with clubs to strengthen junior pathways and long-term sustainability
* Be hands‐on in solving challenges and improving cricket experiences across the region
* Deliver training and development opportunities that support growth in the game
* Contribute to exciting regional programs, carnivals, and community cricket initiatives
* Support the Cricket Manager – South West in the delivery of school and community based programs, where required.

A great fit for this role looks like

* Tertiary qualifications in Education and/or Sport Management (desirable)
* Relevant experience in community sport development and program delivery
* Demonstrated experience in networking and stakeholder engagement
* Strong understanding of cricket and pathways to grow participation at grassroots level
* Knowledge of youth development, school environments, and community sport systems
* Ability to support clubs and volunteers to build sustainable, inclusive programs
* Highly organised with strong planning, problem‐solving, and analytical skills
* Confident communicator able to engage, influence, and build relationships with diverse stakeholders
* Collaborative, energetic team player who motivates others and contributes to shared success
