**The Opportunity**:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and keen web officer to join a busy and inclusive team.
The primary focus of this position is to assist the team during a busy period with various Web tasks.
This is a
**6 month non-ongoing opportunity**, with the potential for extension and working-from-home flexibility.
**Key duties will include**:
- Assist in the maintenance, monitoring and development of the intranet and presence on the Department's official website, by:
- loading and maintaining web content
- contributing to incident and problem resolution
- providing advice on web-related matters, escalating issues as appropriate
- preparing electronic versions of publications for online distribution and
- liaising and negotiating with staff to ensure timely delivery of print and electronic publishing services.
- Liaise with clients, internal staff, and external agencies to develop and deliver user focussed and accessible web content, online publishing projects and communications.
- Assist with reporting activities by running web analytics.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of web and mobile initiatives
- Provide technical and administrative support
**Skills and Experience required**:
**Experience **in web development and publishing in the following desirable:
- with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- publishing with a content management system
- knowledge of user experience design (UX) and web accessibility guidelines
- Working knowledge of database technologies and query languages and
- competency in design and video-editing software including Adobe Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and InDesign.
