Overview
The UX UI Designer is responsible for shaping and enhancing the user experience of Dabble's app through outstanding design and user-centered solutions. This role will work closely with the Product and Development teams to create seamless, visually appealing and highly functional experiences across the app. If you are passionate about creating the best possible experience for users in an innovative, fast paced, mobile-first environment - this role is for you!
Primary Location
This role is currently open to all locations within Australia, however candidates based in Melbourne may be preferred.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative UX UI solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience within the app
* Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering teams
* Conceptualise original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design problems
* Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and process flows, to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
* Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
* Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to continuously iterate and improve designs
* Champion design guidelines, best practices, and standards for the app
* Leverage AI tools such as Claude or Figma to rapidly ideate, prototype and develop ideas
Skills & Qualifications
* Proven UX UI design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating a history of innovative and user-centered design solutions, focused on mobile apps
* Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Principal
* Strong knowledge of responsive design, mobile-first principles, and accessibility standards
* Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
* Ability to present and effectively communicate design ideas to team members and stakeholders
* Experience in research practices and methodologies to gather user feedback and insights
* Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
* Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
* A degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Human Centered design, or a related field is preferred

Remuneration
The advertised salary for this position is $120,000 - $130,000 + Super + Benefits with room to be flexible.
