Job Title: Laboratory Manager
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a laboratory, ensuring exceptional patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary team and take charge of staff schedules, mentoring staff to ensure high levels of performance.
Key responsibilities include operating on multiple disciplines, collaborating with stakeholders, networking with clients, and promoting the company positively.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Graduate with a Medical Science degree or recognised equivalent qualification.
* Minimum two years' experience as a senior scientist in a healthcare pathology capacity, with prior scientific experience in a hospital laboratory highly regarded.
* Technical competency in Haematology, Coagulation, Biochemistry, Blood Bank and Microbiology areas.
* Demonstrated understanding of the pathology industry, proficiency in clinical department processes and strong focus on attention to detail.
* Highly knowledgeable in Work Health Safety procedures, Quality systems and regulatory requirements.
* Strong computer literacy, notably in MS Office and Laboratory Information System.
* Passion for leading a team and ability to deliver multiple conflicting outcomes in a timely manner.
