Supervisor – Business Development Aquatics and Swim School

A 9‐day fortnight work pattern is available with this role. Vacancy 059/2026.

Overview

This role requires experienced and qualified management of aquatic and swim school operations within a large community facility. The Supervisor will drive participation, programme growth and financial performance, develop high‐performing teams, manage budgeting, rostering and operational planning, and ensure technical knowledge of aquatic operations, including pool plant systems, water quality management, chemical handling and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

* Lead aquatic and swim school operations within a large community facility.
* Drive participation, programme growth and financial performance.
* Develop high‐performing teams and provide sound business acumen in budgeting, rostering and operational planning.
* Maintain technical knowledge of pool plant systems, water quality management, chemical handling and regulatory compliance.
* Ensure safe and high‐quality service delivery, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
* Commit to continuous improvement and customer experience.

Qualifications

* Diploma in Recreation, Business, Commerce or a related discipline.
* Minimum five years experience in a leadership position.
* Extensive experience in the recreation and aquatic industry.
* Experience working with diverse populations (seniors/disabled).
* Understanding of Work Health and Safety principles, practices and legislation.
* Financial management skills: prioritise spending, prepare budgets, forecast and report income and expenditure.
* MSMWHS216 – Operate Breathing Apparatus or equivalent.
* Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
* Working with Children Clearance.
* National Police Clearance.
* WA Pool Operations Competency Certificate or equivalent.
* Leisure Institute of WA Aquatics Accreditation.
* Current Royal Life Saving Society Pool Lifeguard Award.
* AUSTSWIM Teacher certificate or equivalent (desirable).
