Job Title
As a dedicated professional, you will play a pivotal role in delivering key messages and initiatives of headspace to young people.
Working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, you will focus on mental health awareness, reducing stigma, and promoting early help-seeking in culturally safe and appropriate ways.
Building meaningful relationships and working collaboratively with community groups is essential for this position.
Proposing innovative ways to embed culturally relevant practice in services is also an important aspect of the role.
Aboriginality is a genuine occupational qualification for this position under Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act of 1977 (NSW).
Key Responsibilities

Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in health, psychology, social work, or similar field
* Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people with mental health issues
* Demonstrated experience coordinating and facilitating youth programs and events within an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community setting
* Knowledge and understanding of factors that contribute to positive mental health for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people
