Job Duties
In your role as Head Chef, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
* Leading, mentoring, and inspiring kitchen staff to produce nutritious and delicious meals.
* Designing creative, seasonal menus that cater to residents' diverse tastes and dietary needs.
* Ensuring compliance with food safety standards and maintaining hygienic kitchen practices.
* Managing kitchen budgets effectively, including stock control and ordering supplies.
* Creating a dining experience that enhances residents' quality of life and satisfaction.
Job Requirements
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
* Hold a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent qualification.
* Possess proven experience as a Head Chef or in a senior culinary role.
* Have a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate for safe kitchen management.
* Demonstrate a passion for culinary excellence and a genuine commitment to aged care.
* Exhibit strong leadership, communication, and financial management abilities.
* Be willing to undergo pre-employment medical checks, police checks, and NDIS Worker Screening.
