We are seeking an experienced Crushing Fitter to support the maintenance, reliability, and safe operation of our Metso mobile crushing and screening fleet. This role is hands‐on, field‐based, and ideal for someone who understands the demands of remote WA operations and can keep production running efficiently with minimal downtime.
You will work closely with the Quarry Manager and Crushing Operators to ensure all equipment is maintained to OEM standards and compliant with MRWA aggregate production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Metso mobile crushing equipment, including:
* Metso LT106 Jaw Crusher
* Metso Cone Crushers (LT220D or similar)
* Metso Triple Deck Screeners (ST4.10 or similar)
Perform diagnostics, fault finding, and component replacement on:
* Crusher chambers, belts, pulleys, bearings, and hydraulic systems
* Screens, conveyors, feeders, and powerpacks
Conduct daily inspections, lubrication, and condition monitoring to prevent breakdowns.
Assist with screen media changes, jaw swaps, cone liner changes, and rotor maintenance.
Support Operators with safe plant start‐ups, shutdowns, and troubleshooting.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, parts usage, and service reports.
Work collaboratively with site leadership to minimise downtime and optimise production.
Ensure all work is completed safely, following site procedures and OEM guidelines.
Assist with general mechanical tasks across loaders, excavators, ADTs, and water trucks when required.
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience as a Crushing Fitter, Heavy Diesel Mechanic, or Mobile Plant Fitter in mining, quarrying, or civil crushing operations.
Strong, hands‐on experience with Metso mobile crushing and screening equipment (essential).
Ability to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on mobile crushing spreads.

* Conveyor tracking, belt repairs, and roller replacement
* Hydraulic troubleshooting
Understanding of MRWA aggregate production requirements (advantageous).
Ability to work independently in remote environments and respond quickly to breakdowns.
Strong safety focus and commitment to maintaining a clean, organised work area.
Mandatory Requirements
Full working rights in Australia.
Ability to pass a pre‐employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.
Experience working in FIFO or DIDO remote operations.
High level of physical fitness and ability to work in hot, dusty conditions.
