Our client
Our client is a renowned national law firm with a strong presence across multiple cities in Australia. Their network allows them to take on large-scale projects across the entire country.
The firm's Planning and Environment team has an impressive track record of representing major developers and landowners in high-stakes matters before the Land and Environment Court.
No other law firm handles as many cases for developers appealing decisions through merit appeal proceedings in the Land and Environment Court as this team does.
The role
A top-tier national law firm is seeking a Associate (3 years PQE) or Senior Associate (8+ years PQE) to join its market-leading Sydney Planning & Environment team. The team acts for more development proponents in Land and Environment Court appeals than any other firm in NSW and is consistently ranked Tier 1 by Doyle's.
You will work directly with a Preeminent-ranked Partner — one of only three in NSW recognised at that level — on a sophisticated and varied caseload spanning Class 1 merit appeals, Class 4 civil enforcement, Class 5 criminal proceedings, and Class 3 land valuation matters.
The work is genuinely complex, the mentorship is exceptional, and the pipeline is strong.
This is a rare seat in one of the most respected planning and environment practices in the country.
