The Westmead Applied Research Centre is seeking a Research Administration Officer.
The role actively contributes to clinical trial activities, leads data capture and entry operations, and ensures accuracy and regulatory compliance.
The Officer builds strong relationships with clinical trial stakeholders and contributes to quality by aligning clinical trial procedures with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and applicable SOPs.
About the opportunity
Full time, fixed term until December ****
Base salary from $89,755 to $100,495 + 17% superannuation
Exciting opportunity to contribute as a Research Administration Officer at the Westmead Applied Research Centre
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Actively contribute to various clinical trial activities, assisting in the coordination and operation of trials
Lead data capture and entry for clinical trials, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GCP and other relevant regulations
Review and enforce adherence to ethics guidelines, WHS requirements, and other relevant standards in the conduct of clinical trials
Develop and maintain robust relationships with clinical trial stakeholders, participating in research meetings and facilitating communication among entities
Oversee quality activities, ensuring clinical trial documents, ethics applications, and participant data align with GCP and SOPs
Undertake other duties appropriate within the classification level as required
About you
Demonstrated experience in basic clinical trials administration or in a similar field
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Experience in patient recruitment is desirable
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills and a demonstrated level of tact and discretion
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
