About the Role
As a Senior Automation Technician, you'll play a key role delivering technical support, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, and automation solutions across industries including Water & Wastewater, Utilities, Food & Beverage, and Mining.
This is a highly varied, hands-on role where no two weeks are the same.
You'll be involved in:
PLC, SCADA and control system troubleshooting and fault finding
Industrial breakdown support and rapid problem solving
Planned maintenance, upgrades, optimisation, and commissioning activities
Remote diagnostics and technical support
Working directly with customers to solve critical operational problems
Supporting projects, service activities, and continuous improvement initiatives
You'll have the opportunity to broaden your experience well beyond traditional service work and continue building your capability across multiple technologies, industries, and project environments.
About You
You're technically strong, practical, adaptable, and enjoy solving problems that matter.
You take pride in quality work, communicate well with customers and teammates, and genuinely enjoy learning, growing, and tackling new challenges.
To be successful, you'll ideally have:
SA Electrical Licence (essential)
Minimum 3 years' experience in industrial automation or electrical maintenance
Strong PLC fault-finding and troubleshooting capability
Experience with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Schneider systems highly regarded
Excellent diagnostic and analytical skills
Ability to interpret electrical and automation schematics confidently
A proactive, solutions-focused attitude
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Motivation to help build and grow a high-performing Brisbane team
