The Shire of Broome is seeking a Marketing and Communications Officer to report to the Marketing and Communications Coordinator.
The role assists with delivery of the Shire's communications, including strategic and operational plans, working closely with internal departments to communicate activities, events and decisions through the communication action plans.
Job type: 12‐month, full‐time. Standard working hours are Monday‐Friday 7:45 am‐4:30 pm with the option of a monthly rostered day off.
Responsibilities
Assist the Marketing and Communications Coordinator with the delivery of strategic and operational communications plans. Coordinate internal communications, support event promotion, proof‐read communications, and manage communication action plans.
Qualifications
Experience in marketing and communications; well‐developed written communication skills; attention to detail and proof‐reading ability. Advantageous qualifications or experience in public relations, journalism, graphic design, marketing or communications. Previous local government experience is highly regarded.
