Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is seeking an experienced Senior Business Manager (Operational Support) to lead the operational support functions in the diverse and expansive North Queensland Region.
This role is based out of Cloncurry and is key to ensuring the effective delivery of services across a geographical area that includes the Far North, North West, and Northern Districts. Home to over 546,000 people and contributing to important sectors like agriculture, tourism, mining, and fishing, the region plays a critical role in Queensland's economic growth and sustainability.
As a valued leader within TMR, you will oversee functions like executiveadministration, fleet and facilities management, and governance frameworks to ensure seamless service delivery. You'll also work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to drive strategic objectives and support ongoing regional development.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
* Leading and managing operational support teams, ensuring efficient delivery of functions such as fleet management, administration, document management, facilities management, and travel coordination.
* Developing and implementing strategic and operational plans that align with organisational objectives, project delivery outcomes, and stakeholder requirements.
* Establishing governance frameworks ensuring compliance with state-wide policies, legislation, and standards.
* Driving organisational improvements by developing and implementing improvement-focused initiatives and strategic plans.
* Managing and mentoring a diverse team of professionals while fostering a culture of empowerment, inclusion, and accountability.
* Building strong relationships with key stakeholders to enhance collaboration and service delivery across a large geographical region.
* Modelling and promoting a workplace that values gender equality, inclusivity, respectful relationships, employee safety, and cultural diversity.
Mandatory Requirements

* A "C" class driver's licence.
