The quality of our Corporate Tax team has attracted increased demand, and our team is growing quickly. We are looking for experienced tax professionals to join our team, including high-quality Tax Managers with 4-8 years of professional services or industry experience. This is a hybrid position and can be performed from any EY office across Australia, including Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours—please speak with us about potential options. Your Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the leadership team to coordinate and manage the provision of taxation services for an allocated book of corporate clients, overseeing day-to-day operations, corporate income tax compliance, and the preparation and review of income tax returns and tax accounting calculations. Deliver a full spectrum of corporate taxation advisory services tailored to client needs, while supporting senior team members in complex tax engagements, including ATO risk reviews, audits, and ruling application processes, with backing of Australia’s top tax technicians. Be a key point of contact for our clients, collaborating with specialist teams in international tax, transfer pricing, tax controversy and transactions to bring expertise to our corporate clients. Supervise and mentor the team, including senior consultants, consultants, and graduates, acting as a counsellor for junior members, fostering career development and a positive team culture that promotes high performance and collaboration. What We Look For
To be considered for this role you must have: Detailed knowledge and experience with the Australian taxation system, gained in a professional services firm or a comparable industry role, with expertise in corporate income tax compliance calculations, processes, and ATO lodgement obligations. Strong communication skills and confidence in leading direct engagements with clients on substantive tax matters and coordinating various engagements with clarity and effectiveness. CA qualification or equivalent, or completed other postgraduate studies (e.g., Tax Masters); technical knowledge of IFRS and tax accounting is considered advantageous though not essential. Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below, but you don’t need to tick every box. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
