The Opportunity
Our Industrial group of technical engineering and project management specialists delivers innovative and successful project solutions. We are seeking a Process Engineer to partner with clients in delivering projects of all sizes.
This role is ideal for someone with established experience who wants to step into a lead role in project delivery and support the development of colleagues.
Based in our Melbourne office and working with experienced engineers, you will step into a supportive culture where you can be involved, be heard and be encouraged to lead.
About You
This position is suited to a degree‐qualified Process or Chemical Engineer with experience in delivering capital projects within the food, beverage, energy, manufacturing, minerals, metals or water industries.
You should be highly organised, possess outstanding technical and communication skills, and be able to influence and drive successful project outcomes. Previous on‐site and consulting experience is highly regarded.
While each project you work on will vary in scope and scale, this role will see you:
* Lead process designs, including PFD and P&ID development, develop specifications for process equipment and support tendering of major equipment.
* Build strong long‐term relationships with clients, understand their core business, translate requirements into deliverables, and ensure services meet expectations.
* Provide technical advice to improve process capacity or troubleshoot issues at the main plant or utility space.
* Undertake and lead process reviews, investigations, options assessments and designs.
* Work effectively in a team environment to deliver multi‐disciplinary design, coordinating process design inputs and outputs with other disciplines from early scope definition to detailed design.
* Manage project finances, including cost tracking, forecasting, and ensuring spend aligns with budget objectives.
* Lead and mentor junior engineers and support their professional growth.
* Travel flexibly to work alongside clients, gaining industrial site experience through short to long‐term assignments as part of site‐based engineering teams during implementation, procurement, construction and commissioning.
