Role: Spokerun Driver – Defence Theatre Logistics (DTL)
We are looking for experienced HR Drivers based at Wadsworth Barracks East Bandiana VIC. In this role you will deliver general freight to Defence customers in a safe, professional, and timely manner while ensuring compliance with all transport and safety procedures. You will also assist with warehouse duties between runs.
Responsibilities
* Picking and preparing freight for dispatch.
* Loading and unloading vehicles.
* Freight handling and stock rotation within the warehouse.
* Ensuring correct load restraint practices are followed.
* Supporting daily warehouse and logistics operations as required.
* Ensuring the safe delivery of consignments with no damage.
* Load your vehicle and restrain your load each day.
* Complete safety vehicle checks.
* Use of scanner and complete paperwork when necessary.
* Actively attend safety and toolbox meetings.
* Participate in incident investigations.
* Comply with all legislated road laws and regulations, including both private and public networks.
* Conduct all tasks within a customer's site or in a public arena with professionalism.
Qualifications & Skills
* Australian Citizen.
* 5‐year demerit point history check.
* Valid HR Truck licence and LF Forklift licence.
* Eligibility to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Defence Security Clearance (Baseline or higher).
* Prepared to undertake pre‐employment checks including criminal history, medical, and other background assessments.
* Ability to work autonomously or in a close team environment.
* Provide flexibility for the various distribution tasks required.
* Ability to interact with a diverse team at all levels of the organisation's hierarchy.
