About the role

As a New Car Sales Specialist, you're the first point of contact for customers beginning their new-car journey. This fast-paced, phone-based role combines customer service excellence with strong sales acumen to help new car buyers find and secure the best possible deal from our extensive dealer network.

You'll guide customers from enquiry to purchase, uncover their true needs, and use your product knowledge, communication skills, and competitive drive to deliver a seamless, transparent, and rewarding car-buying experience.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver exceptional customer service by answering inbound calls promptly and professionally, addressing all new-car enquiries with a positive, engaging, and solution-focused approach.
* Drive sales outcomes by actively engaging leads through outbound calls to verify vehicle requirements, qualifying buyer intent, and confidently matching customer needs to competitive dealer offers.
* Source and negotiate competitive pricing by liaising with multiple dealerships to secure the best deals, availability, and vehicle options for each customer.
* Apply consultative selling skills to recommend relevant aftermarket products, services, and finance options that enhance the customer experience and contribute to revenue growth.
* Stay commercially aware of new-car market trends, manufacturer promotions, and dealership incentives to confidently educate customers and close deals with value-driven insight.
* Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, quotes, and outcomes in the CRM to ensure visibility, accountability, and data integrity across the sales pipeline.
* Manage multi-channel communications by monitoring and responding promptly to all SMS and email enquiries within SLA expectations.
* Ensure compliance with privacy, data security, and consumer protection standards at every touchpoint.
* Provide feedback and insights to management on recurring customer challenges, lead quality, and process improvement opportunities.
* Collaborate as part of a high-performance team, sharing best practices, celebrating wins, and contributing to a culture of sales excellence and continuous improvement.

Education, Experience & Skills

* Motor Vehicle Sales Licence (or willingness to obtain).
* Excellent communication skills — clear, confident, and engaging across phone and email.
* Proven ability to build rapport quickly and deliver positive customer experiences.
* Telesales or call-centre experience preferred, with a strong sales or conversion focus.
* Solid organisation and time management - the ability to manage multiple leads, efficiently.
* Automotive knowledge beneficial but not essential. Enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key.
* Experience using CRM systems and communication tools like Slack.
* Driven, team-oriented, and commercially minded, with a focus on achieving results.
