Heavy Duty Equipment Maintenance Technician
The ideal candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of our equipment workshop, ensuring all machinery is in good working order. This includes regular servicing and maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure the smooth operation of the workshop.
The successful applicant will have a strong background in heavy duty plant mechanics, with experience managing a team and leading by example. They will be responsible for mechanical diagnosis, repairs, and preventative maintenance procedures to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
* Trade Qualifications:
* Trade qualification in Heavy Duty Plant Mechanics (essential)
* Competence in routine maintenance procedures
The role requires excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with clients, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and provide guidance to junior staff members.
Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Plant Mechanic
* Experience managing a team
* Solid knowledge of Heavy Duty Equipment
* Driver License (HR preferred)
* Forklift/High-risk work licenses desirable
* Branch management experience desirable
* Hands‑on approach with sound computer skills
* Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
* Flexible work hours/days
* Ability to pass a Medical including a Drug & Alcohol test
