Active HR is looking for a capable and driven Business Support Officer to join our growing team in Townsville and play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of high-quality HR services.
Based in our Townsville office, this role is an opportunity to join Active HR as we continue to grow as a trusted HR agency supporting a diverse range of clients across North Queensland and around Australia. We partner with businesses across multiple industries, delivering practical support in HR, workplace relations, recruitment, and training and development.
As the administrative backbone of a small team of HR, workplace relations, and training and development practitioners, you will help support the business through excellent coordination, document preparation, client communication, diary management, and system administration. Your work will directly contribute to a professional, responsive experience for clients, candidates, and the wider team.
What you'll be doing as the Active HR Business Support Officer
* Providing high-quality administration support across client service delivery and internal business operations particularly for our advisors and business partners.
* Helping administer enquiries and work schedules, and supporting diary and meeting arrangements.
* Preparing, formatting, and quality-checking proposals, correspondence, position descriptions, and other business documents.
* Maintaining accurate CRM records, files, and document control processes.
* Contributing to invoicing, business development administration, and process improvement initiatives.
* Providing general administration support across some HR functions such as policy and procedure publications, employment contract production, surveys recruitment/selection and training and development.
To succeed you will be:
* A confident behind the scenes administrator with strong organisation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Attention to detail and proficient in preparing polished documents and working across Microsoft Office 365 and digital business systems.
* Strong communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach to ensure deadlines are met to a professional standard.
* The ability to manage confidential information with discretion and sound judgement
* A proactive mindset, administration prowess, and the drive to improve systems and support a fast-moving team.
* Helping produce engaging and high impact social media and Active HR branded content.
* Qualifications in business administration (Cert III or Cert IV) or comparable experience in a professional services environment will be highly regarded
