Job Summary
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. You will work with clients across the lifespan in various settings, including in-clinic, schools, homes, and via telehealth, depending on their needs. Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, and communication abilities
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide therapy for speech, language, voice, fluency, and cognitive-communication disorders
Educate clients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and progress
Collaborate with other professionals (e.g., occupational therapists, physical therapists, educators) as part of a multidisciplinary team
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation
Participate in continuing education and career development activities
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility for licensure) in (State/Province)
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (or working toward it, if applicable)
Solid clinical and diagnostic skills across a range of speech and language disorders
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Experience with pediatric and/or adult populations preferred
