We're looking for talented Rigging Artists to join our VFX team, creating robust, animator-friendly rigs for characters, creatures, and props.
As part of the Rigging Team, you'll collaborate across departments to build systems that support high-end visual storytelling, balancing technical precision with artistic needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain production-ready rigs for characters, creatures, and props
* Develop high-quality deformation systems, including skinning and corrective workflows
* Work closely with animation to ensure rigs are intuitive, stable, and performant
* Troubleshoot rigging issues and optimise for efficiency in production
* Collaborate with modeling, animation, and pipeline teams to ensure smooth integration
* Contribute to tool development and workflow improvements
* Maintain clear documentation and uphold rigging standards
Skills and Experience
* Solid understanding of rigging principles, anatomy, and deformation
* Strong proficiency in Autodesk Maya, including node-based rigging workflows
* Experience with Python scripting for tool and pipeline development
* Knowledge of skinning techniques, blendshapes, and corrective systems
* Understanding of animation workflows and performance requirements
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment
