About the Role
The successful candidate will primarily teach Science across Years 7-10, with the possibility of a lower-level Year 11 Maths class depending on experience and preferences.
This role would suit a teacher who thrives in structured and collaborative environments and is confident establishing strong classroom expectations. The school is open to experienced classroom teachers as well as capable educators coming from contract or CRT backgrounds who can demonstrate strong behaviour management and adaptability.
This position is initially offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for ongoing opportunities for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Years 7-10 aligned with the Victorian Curriculum
* Create structured and supportive classroom environments that promote positive student behaviour and engagement
* Monitor, assess and provide meaningful feedback to support student progress
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to curriculum planning and faculty initiatives
* Implement the school's instructional model and participate in ongoing professional learning
* Build positive relationships with students, staff and the broader school community
You will have:
* Tertiary qualifications in Education and Science, Maths or related disciplines
* Current or pending Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
* Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behaviour and establish high expectations
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* A willingness to engage in coaching, feedback and professional growth opportunities
* Experience teaching secondary Science and/or Maths within Australian schools preferred
