Lecturer Position
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lecturer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of quality Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Program Delivery:
The Lecturer will develop and deliver innovative VET programs in Early Childhood Education and Care, guided by our institute's principles.
This will involve working closely with stakeholders to ensure that programs meet the needs of individuals and groups.
* Resource Development:
The Lecturer will contribute to the development of resources and programmes based on our Learning and Teaching Framework.
This will include designing flexible learning strategies and creating supportive learner interactions.
* Assessment:
The Lecturer will demonstrate understanding of assessment principles and rules of evidence.
They will contribute to the development of assessment tools and participate in validation processes.
Selection Criteria:
* Culturally Diverse Teams:
The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in culturally diverse teams and communicate sensitively and effectively with Indigenous Australians.
* Relevant Qualifications:
The Lecturer must possess relevant vocational qualifications in the specialist teaching area, at the diploma or degree level, combined with 3 or more years industry/professional/vocational experience.
* Initiative and Workload Management:
The Lecturer must demonstrate initiative and effective workload management skills.
* Physical Fitness:
The successful candidate must possess a sufficient level of physical fitness and resilience to undertake frequent travel throughout the Northern Territory by land, sea and air.
Requirements
* Vocational Competency:
The Lecturer must maintain vocational competency relevant to own subject area.
* Industry Knowledge:
They must keep up to date with industry changes and participate in relevant industry and community events, networks, consultation.
