About Our Client
A leading provider of wear solutions within the mining and resources industry, this organization focuses on enhancing equipment efficiency, productivity, and safety.
Leveraging extensive engineering and manufacturing capabilities, they deliver a comprehensive range of custom-designed products for mineral processing operations, particularly within the hard rock sector.
Key solutions include specialized components for grinding mills, vertical mills, and conveying equipment.
What You Will Be Doing
This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, planning, and inventory control methodologies.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Scheduling production on site in the most efficient and cost-effective manner
Maintaining optimal stock levels for wear parts and components across mineral processing and mobile plant operations
Reporting related to inventory movement and levels – Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly
Raising orders for general purchases, service items, and anything required by the business
Monitoring usage trends and forecasting demand for key items like GET, crawler systems, and castings
Coordinating inventory movements, ensuring accuracy in stock records and timely system updates
Liaising with internal teams to align inventory with production and service requirements
Conducting regular stocktakes, investigating discrepancies, and implementing inventory control measures
Generating inventory reports to support planning and decision-making
What You Will Need
Completion of Year 12 High School or equivalent
Preferred qualifications in Metal Trade, Engineering, or Manufacturing
Experience in a similar production planning role within heavy manufacturing environments
Experience with materials movements and transactions in a manufacturing environment
Purchasing and high-volume vendor management experience
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in planning and inventory control
