About the role
We're seeking an experienced Chef/Cook 2IC to join the team at Giannitto Family Hotels in Gawler, SA. This full‑time role is a outstanding opportunity to work for a reputable hospitality group and help drive the kitchen operations.
What you'll be doing
- Assist the Head Chef in overseeing the day‑to‑day kitchen operations
- Prepare and cook a variety of high‑quality dishes to the hotel's menu specifications
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times
- Assist with menu planning, stock management and budgeting
- Lead and mentor the kitchen team, providing training and support as needed
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new menu items
- Ensure a positive and collaborative working environment in the kitchen
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Chef/Cook, preferably in a 2IC or senior role
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Passion for creating innovative and delicious dishes
