The Role
The CTO / VP Technology will work closely with the CEO, executive team, product leadership, and commercial stakeholders to ensure technology is a core driver of business growth.
This is a role for a pragmatic technology leader who understands how to build and scale SaaS platforms, lead engineering teams, modernise delivery practices, and bring structure to complex product and technology environments.
The successful candidate will help the business move faster, improve technical decision-making, strengthen delivery capability, and build a clear roadmap for AI-enabled product and operational transformation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead overall technology strategy across engineering, platform, architecture, infrastructure, security, data, and AI delivery.
* Partner with the CEO, executive team, product, and commercial stakeholders to turn business priorities into clear technology roadmaps and delivery plans.
* Own the evolution of a complex enterprise SaaS platform, improving scalability, reliability, performance, security, and maintain ability.
* Identify and deliver practical AI, automation, data, and workflow intelligence initiatives that create measurable business and customer value.
* Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing technology function across engineering, architecture, DevOps, QA, data, and security.
* Improve delivery cadence, engineering standards, accountability, quality practices, and cross-functional ways of working.
* Strengthen enterprise readiness across security, compliance, governance, privacy, data management, incident response, and operational resilience.
* Act as the senior technology voice across leadership, customers, partners, and internal teams.
What We're Looking For / Ideal Background
* Proven experience leading technology, engineering, or product technology teams within Enterprise SaaS, B2B software, fintech, regtech, healthtech, insurtech, data platforms, workflow automation, or similarly complex software envionments.
* Strong technical credibility across modern cloud architecture, scalable platforms, APIs, integrations, DevOps, security, data, and software delivery.
* Track record improving engineering maturity, delivery performance, platform reliability, technical decision-making, and team accountability.
* Experience working with enterprise customers, complex stakeholders, implementation requirements, and security / compliance-conscious environments.
* Clear understanding of AI, automation, data platforms, machine learning, LLMs, workflow intelligence, or AI-enabled product delivery, with the ability to separate practical business value from hype.
