About the role
The Maintenance Technician will diagnose, inspect, service, and perform breakdown repairs and preventive maintenance of production facilities and farm machinery, as well as scheduled maintenance services such as lubrications, engine tune‐ups and oil changes. This key support role ensures machinery and equipment operate efficiently and safely to minimise downtime.
Key operational accountabilities include:
* Performing preventative maintenance on farm machinery and production equipment according to scheduled maintenance plans.
* Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities and equipment performance.
* Putting health & safety best practices first in all work carried out.
* Reacting quickly to breakdowns, communicating clearly with affected teams, and working efficiently to fix the issue.
* Supporting continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements through the manager.
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site.
Qualifications and experience
* Qualifications and/or employment background with demonstrated mechanical and ideally agricultural maintenance skills and knowledge.
* Previous experience in processing, welding and/or fabrication would be advantageous.
* Current driver's licence.
* Capable of working in a fast‐paced environment with a can‐do attitude.
* Team player who can work effectively with people from different backgrounds.
* Awareness and ability to adhere to WHS requirements.
* Flexibility in hours worked to achieve operational targets.
