Your Role as Disability Support Worker
You'll deliver person‐centred services across disability settings. You'll empower individuals to live more independently, safely, and meaningfully by performing personal care, domestic duties, assistance with meals and medication, providing in‐home, centre‐based and overnight respite, enabling social and community participation, assisting in implementing client‐specific programs to encourage independence whenever possible, and promoting individuals physical, intellectual, emotional, social, cultural, and spiritual well‐being.
What We're Looking For
* Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent/relevant
* Proven ability to work in a team environment to build collaborative relationships with individuals who have a disability and their families
* Demonstrated compassion and respect for individuals with a disability, colleagues, and visitors
Essential Requirements
* Proof of COVID‐19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy)
* Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ
* Limited policy
* Current Driver's Licence and willingness to travel for work
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Card
* Current First Aid Certificate
