About the Role
We are seeking a part-time CGS Care (OSHC) Educator who is interested in creating a safe, caring, quality environment for children at our CGS Care Programme. CGS Care is an out-of-school-hours care programme at Canberra Grammar School that provides a combination of indoor and outdoor activities each day and are guided by children's interests and abilities.
The Educator will work alongside the CGS Care team and the classroom Teachers as part of a cooperative team and provide a vibrant, dynamic and innovative educational program for our students.
About You
You are dedicated, passionate and possess the following:
* Hold or be actively working toward a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Education Support
* Hold or be willing to complete the Keeping Children and Young People Safe, ACT Government training
* Hold or be willing to complete the National Child Safety Training (Foundation Level) – Geccko
* Hold or be willing to obtain HLTAID009 – Provide CPR and HLTAID012 Provide first aid in an education and care setting certifications
* Experience working with students with additional needs e.g. behavioural support, learning support, social support and emotional support
* The ability to assist with the general well‐being of students
* Sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework
* Sound understanding of My Time Our Place Framework
* Sound understanding of the National Quality Standards and regulations
All team members at CGS are required to have:
* A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
* A current National Police Check
* Full working rights within Australia
