A growing infrastructure-focused business is seeking a commercially astute and data-driven professional to support strategic planning, performance analysis, and operational improvement across the organisation.
This is a broad, high-impact role sitting between finance and operations, working closely with senior leadership. You will play a key role in shaping budgets, improving cost visibility, and driving consistency across planning and estimating functions.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting or finance background who enjoys stepping beyond traditional finance into operational and commercial problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with sales and operational leaders to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and forward planning models
* Analyse cost structures across labour, materials, and project delivery, improving visibility where data is currently limited
* Provide insights across profit and loss and balance sheet performance to support business decisions
* Work closely with estimating and delivery teams to align planning assumptions and outputs
* Establish and maintain standardised estimating and planning processes
* Identify process deviations, investigate root causes, and implement improvements
* Support development of reporting frameworks and data models to enhance business insight
* Manage and mentor a junior administrator
About You
* Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or similar
* Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel skills
* Experience in a commercial, finance, or business partnering role
* Background in construction, infrastructure, or related industries is highly regarded
* Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cost modelling
* Able to translate financial data into operational insights
* Confident working with stakeholders across both finance and operations
