One of QLD's larger privately owned dealer groups Westpoint Auto's is expanding its Nissan Sales & Service capability into the Whitsunday region with the addition of Whitsunday Nissan.
Our Workshop Foreman/Senior Technician will be required to lead and coordinate a team of Technicians, Apprentices and Vehicle Cleaners in conjunction with the Workshop Controller and Service Managers to ensure all vehicles are repaired and serviced as per the customer's request, in a timely manner and delivered back in a clean and tidy condition, whilst ensuring high standards of efficiency, quality, customer satisfaction and department profitability.
This position will be 75% productive and you will be leading, training, mentoring and guiding our team to be the best in the business. Our customers aim high, and we as a business aim even higher, therefore it is essential we employ a highly skilled and qualified Senior Automotive Technician (Light Vehicle) with exemplary leadership ability.
Applicants wishing to apply need to possess the following qualities:
• Experience as a Senior / Master Automotive Technician
• Ability to meet deadlines and a willingness to exceed expectations
• Capability to rapidly identify knowledge gaps, process improvements and ability to
implement prompt change
• High attention to detail and a major focus on getting the job done right the first time and on budget
• Exceptional technical and product knowledge
• Up to date skills in diagnostic and problem solving on a range of modern vehicles
• Able to make decisions, quickly and correctly whilst keeping to a deadline
• Strong ability to train, motivate and lead a workshop team across all levels of skills and
experience
• RWC certificate / Master Technician status would also be advantageous but not essential
