Position Details

* Full‐time, fixed‐term position through to 30 June 2027.
* Primarily based at Parkville Youth Justice Precinct; approximately two days per week supporting the Classification and Placement Unit and three days per week supporting the Operational Leadership and Capability team, with flexibility to work across other precincts and training centres.
* Salary: $81,496 – $98,955 per year (VPS3 role) plus super.
* Travel between precincts and external training venues required.

Responsibilities

* Provide high‐level administrative support, including meeting coordination, agenda and minute preparation, correspondence management, and record keeping.
* Assist with project management, coordinating tasks and tracking progress.
* Support the planning and delivery of training, professional development, and capability‐building initiatives for custodial staff.
* Prepare reports, briefing notes, presentations and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, including supervision and program reports.
* Maintain and update databases and registers related to staff coaching and Higher Duties Assignment (HDA) processes.
* Contribute to the development of new systems and processes in collaboration with subject‐matter experts across the department.
* Support project coordination through planning, logistics, and tracking of deliverables.
* Assist with procurement and financial administration tasks as needed.
* Provide timely and effective customer service support to internal managers and staff.

Qualifications

* Experience in providing confidential, personal and administrative support functions including database management and Microsoft Office applications.
* Experience supporting training or learning and development programs, and/or experience working in government is desirable.
* Current full driver's licence required due to travel within the department.
