The Opportunity
We're excited to offer a team leadership opportunity within Stockland's highly regarded Queensland Civil and Infrastructure Project Management team, based in Brisbane. As the Senior Project Manager – Region Lead – Masterplanned Communities, you will play a key role in guiding the successful delivery of three of our signature community developments, while mentoring and supporting a high-performing team of six direct reports.
This 18-month contract role is ideal for someone who thrives on stakeholder engagement, team leadership and strategic project delivery. You will be the central point of coordination across internal and external stakeholders from junior team members to senior leaders, consultants, contractors and authorities ensuring alignment, collaboration and excellence in execution.
While technical knowledge of masterplanned communities is highly regarded, your ability to lead, coach and influence will be the true driver of success in this role.
Your tasks will include:
* Leading, mentoring, and coaching a team of six established project professionals and 2 consultants to deliver high-quality outcomes.
* Providing strategic oversight and support across the full lifecycle of major civil infrastructure projects.
* Driving stakeholder engagement across all levels internal and external to ensure alignment and efficient delivery.
* Supporting the Development Management team with construction delivery advice and inputs.
* Facilitating project cost planning and procurement strategies in collaboration with Development Managers and external partners.
* Championing operational excellence, safety, and sustainability across all project activities.
* Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Proven leadership experience in civil infrastructure or masterplanned community projects.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus.
* Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor teams, fostering growth and performance.
* Commercial acumen and experience with procurement and contract administration.
* A proactive, solutions-focused growth mindset and strong time management skills.
* Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
