Sports Administrator & Coach- Full Time position
St Columba Anglican School Port Macquarie is a co-educational Early Learning Centre to Year 12 campus set on 37 picturesque acres in the heart of Port Macquarie's Education Precinct. Boasting exceptional sporting and recreational infrastructure, sports programmes at the school enable students to participate at a level appropriate to their ability and ambition. We are looking for a Sport Administrator and Coach whose skills and experience will complement the existing human and physical resources of the school and whose passion for sport will inspire and nurture student participation and enjoyment.
About the Role
As a Sport Administrator and Coach, you will work five days a week under the direction of the Director of Sport and Cocurricular.
This multi-faceted role is perfect for a professional who thrives on variety, combining administration and logistics with coaching and student mentorship. You will play a pivotal role in the smooth operation of our school's integrated sports program.
The Role
The Sports Administrator and Coach supports the effective delivery and administration of the school's sport programs by coordinating logistics, communication, coaching, equipment, and compliance. This role ensures high-quality sporting experiences for students through inclusive participation, skill development, and structured competition, whilst upholding school values, and fostering a positive sporting culture within the school community.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Logistics & Events: Planning and managing fixtures, transport, and match officials for school carnivals and external competitions (HRIS, AICES, CIS).
Coaching & Mentoring: Leading and assisting with coaching sessions, specifically focusing on Football and Futsal, and ensuring fair, merit-based team selections.
Administration: Managing registrations, maintaining accurate sporting records, and handling internal/external communications with stakeholders.
Equipment & Facilities: Auditing sports inventory and working with facilities staff to ensure our grounds and the Iona Centre are safe and ready for play.
Qualifications:
Secondary: Higher School Certificate (or equivalent)
Tertiary/TAFE or VET qualifications
Coaching Certificate - Level 1,2
