Your new role
As the Senior Grants & Program Advisor, you will provide high‑level support across governance, policy development, budget oversight, and strategic planning activities. You will play a key role in maintaining progress across a diverse work program by coordinating input from multiple stakeholders, managing grant programmes, and ensuring reporting and compliance requirements are met.
Your ability to produce high‑quality briefings, correspondence and documentation will ensure alignment with departmental and statutory frameworks while contributing to the Department's overall strategic objectives.
What you'll need to succeed
* Demonstrated experience in policy, governance, or program management within a government setting
* Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Proven stakeholder engagement and communication skills across all levels, including senior executives
* Exceptional written communication, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities
* Experience supporting Boards, Committees, or governance functions
* Ability to provide strategic advice and influence decision‑making across complex initiatives
* High‑level project management skills, including planning, monitoring, and reporting
* Strong understanding of statutory and compliance frameworks in a government context
* Capability to work independently while leading and coordinating input from multiple stakeholders
