Location : Brisbane Remuneration: As per the Staff EA – Level 5 Tenure – 15 months maternity leave coverage Aurizon has an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader Accounts Receivable to join the team in Brisbane. This is a 15-month maternity leave coverage role with an expected start date of around mid-February. The purpose of this role is to lead the delivery of high-level service through a strong focus on continuous improvement and effective leadership of the Accounts Receivable team, together with oversight of all collections and credit risk management activities, in line with Aurizon's credit risk management framework. About the role: 1.Coaching and supporting the AR team to meet high performance standards and provide excellent customer service to internal and third party stakeholders. 2. Providing strong and effective training to the AR team to so they may deliver on their required activities including credit risk, credit control, invoicing, receipting, reporting and customer collections. 3. Establishing a strong internal control environment within the AR team including the management of policies and procedures, preparing period end reporting and analysis of credit risk data. 4. Sustaining and embedding change management initiatives and maintaining performance improvement culture. 5. Assisting in building a diverse, collaborative and creative workplace where people know what they are accountable for and have the necessary resources to succeed. 6. Maintenance of an enterprise credit control management framework. 7. Monitoring of customer portfolios, with particular focus on managing delinquent and stressed accounts, including the identification and referral of accounts for write-off in accordance with credit risk policy. 8. Establishing collection techniques and strategies to prevent and control arrears, including liaising with Key Account Managers to address overdue accounts and management of third party providers such as debt collectors to ensure timely escalation of collection procedures. 9. Provide excellent customer service About you 1.Knowledge of credit risk management, risk mitigation, credit control and accounts receivable principles. 2. High level of analytical and problem solving skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP and ability to learn other legacy systems to be able to assist the team in complex cases. 3. Ability to work with third party vendor team members and assist contract management to support the completion of transaction activity by the third party vendor in line with agreed service levels. 4. High level of skill in the management and leadership of a team to continuously improve performance in the delivery of quality service to customers. 5. Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to provide feedback, verbal and/or written information in a clear, concise and constructive manner. 6. Strong change management skills to provide expertise within the team to facilitate executive change initiatives and assist in the realisation of identified improvement opportunities whilst contributing to a dynamic work environment that is results oriented. 7. Extensive knowledge of operational environment and commercial business processes and their impact on the financial systems necessary for the timely collection of revenue.
