About the role
The Supervising Producer is responsible for overseeing the creative production and execution of Are Media's vodcast and associated social video content. With support from the Head of Vodcasts, editors and the broader business, the role ensures high‐quality, engaging, and on‐brand content is delivered across platforms, including video, social, newsletter and editorial channels to support audience growth and brand engagement. In an innovative creative/production hybrid role, the Supervising Producer combines robust editorial judgement, storytelling ability and production experience to lead the end‐to‐end process, from concept development through to publication and amplification across Are Media's digital ecosystem. The role works with stakeholders including hosts, talent, editorial teams, editors, commercial, sales and the Head of Vodcasts to grow our Are Media vodcast network.
Duties
* Lead creative development of vodcast and video content aligned to brand strategy and audience insights
* Use finely honed editorial skills creating and directing audience‐focused content
* Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and commercial teams to ensure content meets business goals
* Establish and maintain relationships with key talent, contributors, and external production partners
* Ensure all content meets Are Media's editorial standards and compliance requirements
* Drive innovation in content formats and storytelling techniques across emerging platforms
* Monitor performance metrics and optimise content strategies based on audience engagement data
Skills and experience
* 3+ years of senior production experience in media, publishing, or content creation
* Proven track record of managing large‐scale, multi‐platform content projects
* Strong leadership and team‐management capabilities
* Excellent project management skills with ability to handle multiple deadlines
* Deep understanding of Australian media landscape and audience preferences
* Proficiency in digital content management systems and production tools
* Budget management and vendor relationship experience
