Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Professor in Structural Engineering to join the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
This position will lead strategic opportunities for research and teaching in structural engineering, such as smart materials and their structural applications, smart concrete and sustainable construction materials.
The role will leverage and grow connections across academia, industry and government and has a strong stakeholder and industry focus with established connections in the local industry and state government bodies.
What You Need To Succeed
Completion of a doctoral qualification in civil engineering, environmental engineering or closely related field.
Demonstrated record of outstanding research leadership in structural engineering, including internationally recognised track record of external grants and research outputs in top tier journals.
Proven track record of Higher Education teaching (e.g., evidence of high level of student satisfaction).
Demonstrated engagement and collaborations with industry, government, and community.
Experience in learning and teaching, including innovative curriculum design, face-to-face and online delivery at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Strategic approach and the ability to be adaptive and future-focused to deliver real impact.
