Project Summary
* In this role, you will plan and conduct systems engineering work, and will review and prepare information on requirements management, verification and validation, functional analysis, and other key documents. You will prepare estimates, work plans, and assist with performance reporting. Your technical expertise and coordination will ensure outcomes meet client and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Evaluate, select, and apply standard Systems Engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications.
* Establish means of verifying requirements implementation, including acceptance criteria.
* Develop system models using Model-Based Systems Engineering methods and tools.
* Research, model and document system operations and limits against required performance, using design and basis documents and discussions with system designers.
* Define facility/system functions, behaviors, and other design requirements, prepares the criteria documents and coordinates, and facilitates technical discussion to resolve system design issues.
* Coordinate system-level design verification, requirements verification, test requirements specifications, and requirements flow down and traceability.
* Prepare or assist in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals.
* Coordinate work and collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
* Provide technical assistance to other Systems personnel and interact with project functions, the customer, and regulatory agency personnel in the resolution of complex regulatory issues.
* Provide assistance to project and construction management in identifying and complying with project Systems requirements and in addressing issues as they arise during project execution.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
* Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience, or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
* Skill in working and communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, with other project functional groups.
* Proven ability to build strong relationships with team members.
* Experience implementing requirements in major infrastructure projects.
* Experienced user of requirements management tools.
* Experience of technical engineering and interface management within an infrastructure project.
* Demonstrated system engineering knowledge.
* Proficiency in the use of applicable computer programs.
