Specialist practice located in Richmond seeks an enthusiastic, friendly, and diligent highly experienced Practice Manager to join their busy practice, working permanent part-time (4 days per week), 60 hours per fortnight. You will be well supported by the reception staff and assistant Practice Manager.
Our client prides themselves on offering staff a pleasant and harmonious environment. Current staff have been with this practice for 10 or more years.
**Days and Hours are as follows**:
Monday to Thursday 10 am to 6 pm
**Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
- Manage schedule: (New patient appointments, allocation of waitlisted reviews and annual review recall appointments) requires the ability to balance the priorities of waitlisted review patients and urgent new referrals, sometimes requiring adjustment of the schedule, and at short notice: must be forward thinking. This is managed in tandem with the Assistant Practice Manager.
- Management of correspondence: uploading audio-files to send to typist, printing and saving returned letters.
- Some audiotyping - Typing is primarily outsourced however some audiotyping is required
- Management of IT systems
- Competent and experienced with Apple Mac computers, and ability to cope with basic troubleshooting. Document management using Microsoft Word, Excel etc.
- Use of Gentu practice management software
- Health Fund billing via Eclipse for inpatient accounts. Requires strong accuracy and a basic knowledge of MBS billing rules
- Scope to take on MYOB bookkeeping, including payroll
- Scope to take on accounts payable
- Banking (deposit of cash/cheques)
- Monitoring and ordering of supplies
- Lead an on-site team currently consisting of a receptionist and an assistant practice manager (highly experienced and requiring mínimal supervision)
- Monitor and direct workflow of reception staff where appropriate, and support and assist when necessary to ensure efficiency (including answering telephone, filing, arranging hospital bookings, etc.)
- Keep up to date with current COVID-19 requirements with respect to the practice and implement any necessary policies or changes
**Essential Criteria**
- Experience with inpatient billing via Eclipse
- Experience with accounting software (preferably MYOB)
- Computer literacy (confident IT capabilities, experienced and knowledgeable with Apple Mac)
- Leadership skills (experience supervising/leading a team)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to understand and follow existing processes
- Firm organisational skills with the ability to prioritise
- Excellent communication skills
- Logical/forward thinker
