A Southern WA hospital is recruiting a Senior Registrar/CMO in Internal Medicine for a temporary contract from 19 May 2025 to 19 August 2025, with possible ongoing work starting in March 2025. The role involves 8‐hour shifts, including evening shifts that finish at 11 pm.
Key Responsibilities
Provide unsupervised clinical care as a senior registrar, managing patients across the regional health service, and supporting both acute and community care settings.
Required Experience and Qualifications
* Minimum of 3 years of full‐time experience at registrar level in Australia or New Zealand.
* Ability to work unsupervised.
* Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of the right to work in Australia.
Service Context and Benefits
The position serves a large regional health network that consists of six major regional campuses and 15 district campuses, supporting 46 small hospitals, 43 health centres and nursing posts, 24 community-based mental health services, four dedicated inpatient mental health services, 178 facilities where population health teams work, and residential aged‐care facilities. The catchment area serves a population of 531 510 people, including 11 % Aboriginal (57 716 individuals). The hospital is situated on the south‐west tip of WA, servicing a coastal community with seasonal whale populations.
