About the role
If you are a caring and skilled midwife who thrives on variety and likes to be out and about, we've got a great opportunity for you.
As a community midwife in the heart of the rural town of Bourke you'll be building relationships, providing information and giving support to the women of the Bourke district and their babies.
You will be actively involved in giving antenatal advice and helping parents prepare for birth, and you will attend to postnatal needs for the first 10 days post-birth, mostly in the homes of new mothers. You will help new mothers look after themselves and their baby including parenting, infant feeding, settling, sleep and other related topics as guided by the needs, expectations and aspirations of the women in your care.
In a small, close-knit team you will be well supported and your dedication will be seen and appreciated. You will be an integral member of the community and you'll see not only the results of your care, but the appreciation of the community for the role you play in their health.
This role offers opportunities to broaden your scope, develop new skills and advance your career.
Challenge yourself. Make an impact. Shape the future. Join us at Western NSW Local Health District.
