Your Role as the Clinical Manager
This role will be accountable for the leadership, management, and performance of the clinical team within the aged care home. Ensuring high‐quality, evidence‐based, person‐centred care is consistently delivered, while maintaining compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards, legislation, and organisational policy. The Clinical Manager is the lead in clinical governance, risk, and quality systems, ensuring safe care, effective clinical practice, and operational sustainability.
You'll deliver person‐centred services across aged care by:
* Provide expert clinical leadership and mentoring to nursing and care teams, driving a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
* Lead clinical accountability for quality indicators and ensure evidence‐based care for residents, including those with complex and high‐acuity needs.
* Champion gerontology best practice and empower RNs through case conferencing and clinical reasoning development.
* Oversee compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, legislation, and organisational policies, always ensuring safety and quality.
* Manage and develop the clinical team through recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and professional development planning.
* Collaborate with the Residential Manager on financial management, rostering, and operational oversight, including acting as Manager during leave periods.
What We're Looking For
* Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
* Formal qualifications or demonstrated experience in Leadership/Management with extensive experience in senior clinical leadership roles (suggested 5 years) within aged care or a related health setting.
* Formal qualifications or working towards postgraduate qualifications in Gerontology, Aged Care, or related clinical specialty.
* Proven track record in leading successful registration renewal processes with the ACQSC.
* Sound financial acumen with experience in operational and clinical budget oversight.
* Experience in leading and driving a clinical team in best practice clinical excellence.
* Demonstrated high level interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and analytical and clinical research skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently, supervise and direct within a multidisciplinary team.
* Proven ability to effectively liaise in influence change with multidisciplinary care services team, residents and their relatives, and other health/aged care professionals.
* Demonstrated proven ability in the use of Computers and technology including software such as the MS Office suite of applications.
* Proof of COVID‐19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy).
* Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.
* Current Driver's Licence and willingness to travel for work.
