Archival and Records Management Officer

About the Role
As a Archival and Records Management Officer, you will be responsible for delivering best practice records and document services within a State Government Department. Your duties will include mail and messenger services, managing records in compliance with legislative requirements, and supporting the production and archiving of legal documents.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide records management advice and support in line with legislative and organisational requirements.
* Apply the principles of recordkeeping standards to ensure compliance.
* Prepare and archive inactive and legacy records for off-site storage or transfer to Queensland State Archives.
* Enter and manage data using a computerised records management system.
* Create archiving indexes and file closure checklists.
* Assist with saving and managing documents in eDOCS, ensuring accurate file naming and metadata.
* Support legal teams in organising and closing correspondence files.
* Use a variety of systems including Elite 3E, Visual Files, BD, DM, RM Admin Tool, Objective Connect, and eBrief Ready.
* Deliver excellent client service in accordance with departmental standards.
* Perform manual handling duties in line with WH&S requirements.
About You
* You should have at least 12 months of experience in a Records Management team.
* Knowledge of recordkeeping standards and practical experience applying them.
* Proficiency in eDOCS and Elite ERP systems.
* A proactive attitude, attention to detail, and strong team collaboration skills.
