About the position
Reporting to the Managing Director, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a very diverse and dynamic team of professionals servicing over 20,000 clients in South Australia.
A client‐facing role managing your own portfolio of individual and business clients across tax returns, financial reporting, BAS, and business advisory using Xero and Handi Tax. You will build strong client relationships and work closely with senior accountants and the Managing Director in a fast‐paced, growing practice.
Key responsibilities
* Prepare and lodge individual, company, trust, and partnership tax returns
* Manage a portfolio of clients, providing timely tax and accounting advice
* Prepare financial statements, management reports, and year‐end accounts
* Prepare and review BAS, IAS, and ATO compliance obligations
* Liaise directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries
* Support Senior Accountants and the Managing Director with complex client matters
What we are looking for
A confident, client‐focused accountant with a strong technical foundation who is ready to take ownership of a client portfolio and contribute to a high‐performing team. Ability to speak multiple languages would be considered highly advantageous.
Key skills and experience
* Minimum 2 years of accounting experience gained in Australia, essential
* Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline, essential
* Proven experience dealing directly with clients in an Australian accounting practice
* Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation and ATO compliance requirements
* CA or CPA qualification, or currently working towards completion, highly regarded
* Experience with Xero and Handi Tax highly regarded
* Ability to speak multiple languages highly advantageous
